On April 2nd, 2026 as part of the "This is the Turning Point Tour," GWU’s TPUSA affiliate hosted Erika Kirk and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt in Lisner Auditorium. As students filled the room, each seat would be draped with a “I am Charlie Kirk” poster. Audience members wearing were given free MAGA and TPUSA merchandise before entering the auditorium. With Easter Sunday on the horizon, speakers such as conservative political activist Jack Posobiec highlighted the importance of Christian values in the matter of governing, and how it should be the foundation of people’s politics. Posobiec also commented on the recent No Kings protests, and how the left was building their own soulless kingdom devoid of faith. Erika Kirk, the CEO of TPUSA, and wife of the late Charlie Kirk, discussed Charlie’s legacy and his role in engaging with college students that shared different political beliefs. Furthermore, she elaborated how Turning Point needs to continue to be a part of fostering safe conservative spaces in largely liberal college campuses. Notably, Karoline Leavitt proudly talked about the White House’s commitment to moving away from legacy “fake news” media outlets in the Press Poo, to having more non-traditional forms of media such as podcasters and various social media influencers. When pressed on the SAVE America Act by a GWU student, Ryan Caldwell, Leavitt responded by stating,” Why are you okay with any voter fraud in the United States?” She later elaborated that it’s absurd voter ID is not law of the land already, and that it’s simply common sense. Previously, GW had hosted on November 17th, 2025 the Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who met a packed crowd filled with students and general audience members. The Health Secretary first highlighted importance of open dialogue and the dangers of political violence in American society, specifically mentioning the late Charlie Kirk. Then RFK went to talk about his health policies and how he was unjustly targeted by the Democrats during his 2024 Presidential Campaign. Brief snippets of his speech include him talking about the rising rates of autism in America, making America Healthy again by fixing the HHS, and finally (and most importantly) how President Trump & his cabinet are all such funny down-to-earth individuals.
