On March 28, 2026, nearly 8 million Americans took to the streets nationwide to express their outrage against the second Trump administration, whose policies have led to the expansion of ICE in major metropolitan areas, the mass firing of career civil service workers, and brought the US into a conflict with Iran. The protest pictured was organized by a variety of student groups from George Washington University (GWU), including the local chapters of Democracy Matters, the ACLU, and GWU’s College Democrats. The student protest ended up demonstrating outside the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency's headquarters in Washington, D.C.
